We pride ourselves in the quality of service provided and place a strong emphasis on professional training for all members of staff. Our clients include individuals seeking personal tax advice, sole traders, partnerships and private limited companies. As required, we call on Gregor Clark CA, a specialist taxes advisor, to provide a second opinion for complex tax issues. For VAT support we call on the services of a former VAT inspector with over 30 year's experience. We also have a strong network of financial planning, legal and corporate planning experts available to us. Bill Hay FCCABill's main role in the practice is client care, development and consultancy. He meets with client's to discuss their businesses, carries out brainstorming to identify their needs and liaises with practice staff or external consultants to ensure prompt delivery of services to meet clients needs. Assisting clients with planning and projecting, Bill draws on his 30 year's plus experience to provide the best possible solutions. He is always available to act as 'sounding board' for clients' new ideas. Training with McLintock (KPMG), followed by a period in industry, Bill joined Avis Clelland and Co in 1981. After building up the practice as sole practitioner, a three year partnership with Kidsons Impey followed. The existing business was then founded. Carrie Campbell - Assistant to Bill HayCarrie has gained experience in all aspects of the practice, including accountancy, audit, payroll, VAT and taxation. She has now passed the ACCA exams. Carrie is responsible for all compliance matters within the practice. Ensuring that all work is carried out to a high technical standard, she is always available to deal with client enquiries on all aspects of their service requirements. When Sage accounting assistance is required, Carrie is able to visit and mentor clients' bookkeepers. By providing a helpful, friendly and regular contact our clients benefit from meaningful management information to monitor their profitability and cash flow. Being an all-rounder, Carrie assists in the development of other members of the team. Colin Hay - Office ManagerWhere clients seek advice on IT, Colin is able to assess clients' manual and/or computer systems, review and identify clients needs, and then to assist with the provision of new IT solutions. This would also include assistance with, and set-up of, Sage software, and monitoring after installation to ensure clients utilise the software to its fullest potential. Colin joined Bill in 1984 and has gained valuable all-round experience in dealing with most areas of clients' accountancy matters and co-ordinating work issues with clients and with other members of the team. Other members in our teamOur team would not be complete without our other team members Helen, Sarah, Fiona, Catherine and Bonnie whose combined duties and responsibilities include bookkeeping for clients, payroll processing, VAT return preparation, accounts preparation, preparing tax returns and administrative support. |
